Skara Brae, Orkney - a Neolithic Village

Skara Brae…oh my, what can I say other than its one of my favourite places! It is a 5,000 year old Neolithic settlement, situated in Skaill Bay, Orkney. It is a totally awesome place and don’t just take my word for it, it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, (as part of ’The Heart of Neolithic Orkney’) one of only 28 UNESCO sites in the entire UK!  Below is a short clip of Skara Brae, which aims to capture the atmosphere - then there is a gallery of some of the artefacts.
